Why is the Knights of Columbus building now called the Bloomington Event Center (BEC)? The short answer is that “Bloomington Event Center” better reflects the role of the building within the community and surrounding area. The Knights of Columbus uses the building for its events but a wide variety of social, fraternal and community groups make far greater use of the building for their meetings and events. BEC also hosts a number of public events. Frequent visitors to this website can find a monthly calendar of the many events that are hosted at the BEC.
Through the name change, the Bloomington Knights want to emphasize to the community that there’s a conveniently located, affordable venue for virtually any type of event. This venue is accessible to EVERYONE. We’re here to serve you.
Don’t have a big event to celebrate? Make your own personal event. Stop by and check out the Fireside Restaurant and Bar in the BEC or attend some of the many public events at the center. You’re sure to see that the BEC is far more than just Bloomington Knights.
